   ~ Thank you kindly for visiting The Doll Whisperer's B & B.  I am the resident artist and caretaker of the vintage style souls we create by hand here at our virtual turn-of-the-century Painted Lady.  How does one become a doll whisperer?  Simple....each doll has a story...a spirit and a soul.  It is our job to hear them.  We must listen with our hearts.  Since the beginning of time itself...dolls have served their owners well.  Often times, dolls are the sole companions to people of all ages. 

   ~ Why are dolls so very important to us?  They represent the human form at it's absolute  best.  They always listen to us without complaint, guarding our secrets until the end...without fail....they readily love us even if we ignore them year after year.  Dolls can soothe a crying child...take us back in time....and cheer our spirits like none other.

    ~I believe as a doll artisan...it is my responsibility to portray the doll's personality...for all to see.  Doll reminiscent of our history, passages in time that only live on through our memories, stories and folklore.  Dolls are storytellers.  At a glance, one can most generally discern what era a doll represents....when it was created....if it had a happy or hard life....and if it was loved.  Each historical or vintage style doll I create....I view them as a time capsule ambassador of sorts...we are their future...they are our past. 

    ~Each doll has a specific personality, spirit and soul....just as every human does.  I create one-of-a-kind, original dolls.  My pledge to the doll collector is that I will never duplicate a doll.  Each of my dolls have a unique face that is their's and their's alone.  I guarantee each doll will be the only doll like it in the world, completely loveable and of museum quality.  I strive for excellence and integrity in my craftmanship and I stand behind my work 100 percent.  I am honored to have been selected as One of America's Best and Listed into The Directory of Traditional American Crafts 2008 Early American Life.
